Tanzanian giants joins chase for Marumo Gallants striker

Tanzanian giants Simba FC and Young Africans have joined the race to sign in-form Marumo Gallants striker Ranga Chivaviro.

The 30-year-old striker is on the wanted list of a host teams in the DStv Premiership who have a view of signing the striker for next season.

Chivaviro’s contract with Gallants is set to expire In June with a one-year additional option.

AmaZulu and Royal AM are some of the top-flight clubs that are believed to be chasing the signature of the Gallants strike.

“We are receiving interest both from local and international teams," agent Herve Tra Bi tells KickOff.

"There is also interest from Saudi Arabia but unfortunately, I can't reveal their names.

“His contract with Marumo Gallants is set to expire next month. But he has an option [of an extra year]. We still have to discuss that with Marumo Gallants at the end of the season.

"The club has been good to the player, and everything has to be handled in a more professional manner if he has to leave the club at the end of the season."

Gallants are currently in Tanzania ahead of a CAF Confederations Cup semi-final against Yanga at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium on Wednesday.
