Marumo Gallants' in-demand striker Ranga Chivaviro has shed some light on the controversy surrounding his future with links to both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs among others.

The 30-year-old had a sensational season with Gallants that saw him score 17 goals across all competitions, including the CAF Confederations Cup where Gallants progressed as far as the semi-finals.

In light of his form, multiple reports have linked him with a move to Richards Bay, whom it believed that striker had signed a pre-contractual agreement with, Orlando Pirates who were reported to have purchased him in a club-to-club agreement, as well Kaizer Chiefs who are in the market for striker. Chivaviro is also linked with a move to Tanzania, his agent told KickOff.

For now though, the striker insists he remains a Gallants player, although he indicated that a move is on the horizon.

"Honestly speaking, I'm still a Marumo Gallants player and like you said it's speculation," Chivaviro said on SNAWA when asked on his future.

"Someone out there is just trying to put food on their table which I respect but I'm sure when Ranga knows where his next move will be, everyone is going to know."

"I like to speak of the current situation, so as of now, I like to speak of what I have in my hands which is Marumo Gallants. Ranga Chivaviro is a Marumo Gallants player, until that changes, I am still a Marumo Gallants player.

"About that (pre-contractual agreement with Richards Bay), conversations yes, but I don't want to get much into the that. I think the bottom line to everything is that Ranga Chivaviro belongs Marumo Gallants.

"To tell you the truth, let me not comment on that because I don't want to cause a lot of confusion and everything. Let me just say that Ranga belongs to Marumo.

On his future, Chivaviro said: "I'm just trying to relax my mind a bit to wait and see which move would be best suited for me.

"When it comes to where I want to play, I let my agent know and whoever calls me I just direct them to him.

"So, I've told him 'listen, you know this is what Ranga wants and this is where I want to see myself,' and he knows where Ranga wants to be.

"So, he gets most of the calls and most of that information I'm not able to entertain regarding my next move."
