Marumo Gallants chairman Abram Sello insists any interested team would need to pay up for in-demand striker Ranga Chivaviro.
Chivaviro scored 17 goals in 30 appearances for the Limpopo club in the recently concluded 2022/23 season.
According to reports, KwaZulu-Natal club Richards Bay have won the race for the player’s signature, beating the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, who are also interested.

The Natal Richboyz have already bolstered their squad with Lucky Mohomi.
“With Chivaviro, we will let you know once everything is clear, I’m not confirming anything [regarding Chivaviro joining Richards Bay], he is searching around for teams of his choice, after that he will tell us exactly where he got a better offer,” Sello tells KickOff.
“I will only know which team he is going to once I give him clearance, for now as a chairman, I don’t know anything.
“Only when Richards Bay, ask me for a clearance then I will know he has signed for Richards Bay.
“I’m really busy re-arranging my team so I didn’t talk to anybody. I cannot say it’s true or not true.
“Anybody who made a deal with any of my players will have to come back to me because that’s when I will really know when they ask for proper documents.
“I will only officially know when they contact me as the chairman of Marumo Gallants. If not, he is still with Marumo.
“He’s still got an extension with Marumo, it’s one year. Activation is long done.
“We are not stopping anyone’s career. If he finds greener pastures anywhere, he will do what every footballer will do, which is to talk to his former club and continue.
“So, whoever wants him must pay or arrange. There is a formula. But for now, I’m not going to entertain anything.”
