Marumo Gallants’ CAF Confederation Cup semi-final against Young Africans will play out on Wednesday with contrasting settings for the two clubs after the Tanzanians won their latest league title on Saturday.
Yanga were 4-2 winners over Dodoma Jiji on Saturday and that victory meant they retained the title that they won last season.

It is the 29th league title that Yanga have won keeping them well ahead of rivals Simba as the most successful club in Ligi Kuu Bara (Tanzanian Premier League).
They sit on 74 points while second placed Simba have 67 points which means they cannot be overtaken with two games left to play.
Congolese forward Fiston Kalala Mayele was on target yet again on Saturday pushing his tally for the season on the domestic scene to 18 goals.
He has scored another 12 goals (plus two assists) in 15 appearances in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup this season.
Mayele scored seven in the Champions League and since the relegation of Yanga to the Confederation Cup, he has added five.
The 28-year-old is keen on a move to the DStv Premiership.
While Yanga have won the league in Tanzania, Marumo’s safety in the DStv Premiership is not secured.
Though they are in position 14 and safe now, Marumo can still either be relegated or fall into the play-offs position depending on what happens in the last game of the season.
They travel to Swallows for their final game of the season next Saturday.
In the Confederation Cup they need to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg if they are to proceed to the final where USD1. 25 million (approx. R24 million) is at stake.
