Tanzanian giants Young Africans are reportedly leading the race for the signature of in-form Marumo Gallants striker Ranga Chivaviro as the season draws to a close.

A transfer domino effect could be triggered with Chavaviro is believed to have been identified as a replacement for the in-demand Fiston Mayele, who is on the wanted list of Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.

The Marumo Gallants striker is reportedly also receiving admiring glances from fellow Tanzanian outfit Simba SC. However it is becoming increasingly likely that the player will complete a move to rivals Yanga who have reportedly tabled an exciting transfer offer for the 30-year-old striker.

According to sources close to the club, Young Africans held exploratory discussions with Chivaviro's representatives on Thursday to lure the striker to Tanzania next season.

"They met with his agent, where many things were discussed, including a proposed salary," a source revealed to KickOff.

"Yanga is now waiting for feedback on whther Marumo Gallants will be willing to listen to offers with the player's transfer touted for the end of the season."

Chavaviro’s current contract with Gallants is set to expire at the end of this season, but includes an additional one-year option.
