Kaizer Chiefs players could be facing the prospect of uncertain futures, as the club grapples with another season without a trophy.
The likes of goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, Njabulo Ngcobo, Edmilson Dove, George Matlou, Sifiso Hlanti and Siyethemba Sithebe all have contracts that expire in June, with Hlanti having the exception of a one-year-option by the club on his deal.
Following the Glamour Boys' elimination in the Nedbank Cup first round by Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Milford, the Soweto giants could be forced to make more drastic changes at the end of the season.

Former Chiefs striker Marks Maponyane believes that the Glamour Boys should give the players an ultimatum, based on performance.
"What needs to be done is to read the riot act to the prayers. Tell them how they embarrassed the supporters, the faithful of Kaizer Chiefs and then take it from there and say how do we solve this," Maponyane suggested on the way forward for Chiefs on Radio 2000's Game On.
"We solve this by giving them an ultimatum that 'by the way the contract that you signed doesn't mean you're guaranteed to be here, your performance determines whether you're here or not'.
"And then we might see something different from the players but not neglecting the fact that you still need to work on what they lack on. Because you can't just keep on telling the child that, 'You're not good at this, you're not good at that' but you're not showing or teaching the child," he added.
