Head coach Cavin Johnson says he will have a chat with Sibongiseni Mthethwa over the criticism the midfielder was subjected to during Kaizer Chiefs’ defeat to Stellenbosch FC.
Chiefs suffered their second loss in just three matches as a Devin Titus winner handed the visitors all three points at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.

On the night, Mthethwa came up against his former side, in Stellies, for the first time and found himself at the receiving end of some verbal abuse from Amakhosi fans, particularly after some nervy-looking passes.
When I said Mthethwa can't pass to save his life, and that he should be told to stop running all over the pitch and just sit in front of the back 4 to mark. He breaks our momentum most of the time with his terrible passing:pic.twitter.com/3xPq1DLxcY

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Johnson said he was unaware of the verbal abuse but planned to keep a close eye on the midfielder.
"Did you see they were not happy with him today? I didn’t see that,” Johnson told journalists.
"Maybe someone will tell me, [then] I will have to go speak to him on a personal note and give him some feedback to make him feel like a player.
"But in saying that, you only notice it afterwards. Like, for example, you told me now this and [I] didn’t know about it. Maybe he knows about it already because social media is like 15 seconds (very quick). I’m sure he was playing with a cell phone.
"I have to go to him. You’re telling me something that I didn’t know about. I thank you very much. It’s probably someone that I need to go and chat with to ask him if he’s okay with that.

"But Kaizer Chiefs is a different brand. It happens to all the players. It happened many years ago, it keeps on happening all the time.
"It’s difficult to satisfy all 16 million people at one time, the only thing that satisfies them is the three points and when you lose, it’s very difficult to satisfy 16 million."
Up next for the Soweto giants is a league clash against Chippa United, to be played at Buffalo City Stadium on Saturday.
