Interim coach Cavin Johnson has revealed where believes his side got it wrong as Kaizer Chiefs were held to a goalless draw by Cape Town City.
Amakhosi missed their chance to narrow the gap behind rivals Orlando Pirates after playing to a 0-0 draw against The Citizens at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.

On the day, Chiefs were somewhat dominated, seeing just 45% of ball possession but made the same 12 attempts at goal as did City. Only two of Chiefs’ attempts were on target while three of City’s forced a save out of Bruce Bvuma.
Speaking at the post-match press conference though, Johnson argued that Chiefs had enough chances to win the match and explained where his side got it wrong.
"When you look at the way we played, the way we approached the game, I thought we had the opportunities," Johnson said.
"But when they don’t put them in the bag and you know that we do this particular thing at training and you want the players to react to that, it’s not frustrating, it’s just like ‘guys, come on, let’s do that and we get the goal,’ but we didn’t do that.
"The one thing I did not want to happen, yes they did it once or twice, is cross the ball in the air because that’s like Apple picking for Dareen [Keet].
"We needed to come and when we did come inside, we were not calm enough in order to execute the last action.
"But frustrated? I think everyone is frustrated."

The draw leaves Chiefs seventh on the DStv Premiership and they will have their next chance to climb up when they host Stellenbosch at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.
