Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki has revealed the 'issues' he found at the club which can only be solved over time.

Mamelodi Sundowns have become a winning machine and have set the benchmark on the level of success a big club should reach.

Apart from massive financial resources at the Brazilians, what they have done right over the years also lies heavily on their scouting, where they look for particular players to fit into a system they have already modelled and are practicing.

At Chiefs, for example, who have struggled to restore their glory days for nine seasons running, there has not been a system in place and when signing players without a system, that has created 'tactical and technical issues', according Ntseki.

Masandawana have been known to play a similar type of football for years, while at Amakhosi, various coaches have had to come up with their own game model and that has created the issues of having 'tactical and technical' clashes within the players being signed from different backgrounds of football.

"When it comes to Chiefs, it was more about what are the tactical requirements, what are the technical requirements, what are the individual qualities," Ntseki explained on POWER Sport Extra.

"You have a team that has too many players coming from other teams and you also look at their profile in terms of how they were played in those teams and how do you want to apply your game model.

"These are tactical and technical issues that become very individualistic, in terms of going back to training, how do you drill those moments, how do you structure, what is the strengths of certain individuals, the pattern you want to see. It is something you work over time," he added.

Ntseki, who was initially recruited as a Head of Technical at Chiefs, was relieved of his duties as a head coach after just three months into the 2023/24 campaign.
