Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has admitted that they should not be committing the same mistakes at this stage of the season.
Chiefs nearly bottled a two-goal lead playing against ten men, as they held on to a 2-1 win that extended their winning streak to four matches in the league.
Amakhosi went to the break with a two-goal lead and a numerical advantage courtesy of goals by Ashley Du Preez and Keagan Dolly, just after Stellies had goalkeeper Sage Stephens red-carded.

Ibraheem Jabaar reduced the deficit for the Cape Winelands outfit early in the second stanza and Chiefs had scary moments, as they eventually held on in the end.
Zwane rued missed chances in the first stanza and felt they took their foot off the pedal in the second stanza.
"Ja, look unfortunately when it comes to that we're still have to go back to the field and work on it until we get it right, we keep on creating chances," Zwane told SuperSport TV.
"We keep on forcing the opposition to commit mistakes and we're just not ruthless but having said that we're not going to give up on them, we'll keep on working with these players and make sure that we get it right. At the end of the day it's our job.
"What we needed was three points playing at home and look, if we played with the same first-half performance it could have been far better in terms of creating chances.
"Yes, we created chances we did not take them but I think we took the foot off the pedal a little bit second-half. We started slow and we gave them hope," he said.
The Amakhosi legend continued and says he felt they should have went to the half-time break leading by at least four goals and he kept on sending the message after the break that they should kill the game.
"And I was sending the message to say 'Let's kill the game, the game is over' you know, they nearly equalised and ja it's one of those things lapse of concentration, sometimes maybe easy game for us and then we drop the tempo but we'll keep on working hard and make sure that we take this to another level," he went on.
"The message was clear, we have the opportunity to score five goals today and we got those chances, we should have gone to half-time leading by four at least.
"And we had the opportunity to say okay, this is an opportunity, for sure let's at least get two or three more goals and then we keep the ball and frustrate them because the will be a lot of spaces.
"And we started to give the ball away, we gave them a lot of corners unnecessarily, where it was all us on the ball and then we just concede corners and anything could have happened you know."
'10111' had more to say and added that at this stage of the season they should be another level and not missing chances the way they have been doing throughout the campaign.
"And ja, lady luck they could have equalised but because of lapse of concentration and taking things for granted at some point but what we needed was to continue where we left off in terms of grinding results and yes we'll go back to training and work on these things and make them out because anyway football is a game of mistakes," he carried on.
"But it's a worrying factor, at this stage of the season we should be at another level in terms of still committing the similar mistakes that has cost us dearly in every game and we're still repeating the same mistakes but we'll still work on such things until we improve," he concluded.
