Golden Arrows head coach Mabhuti Khenyeza says he'll take the blame for the club's woeful run after their defeat against Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday.

Arrows succumbed to an early strike by Wandile Duba for Amakhosi, as they handed Abafana Bes'thende their 11th successive loss.

Khenyeza says they dominated Chiefs but they just could not take their chances.

"It's been the same story like I said earlier on, we created chances, I think we were supposed to convert two chances. In the second-half we dominated the game. I think Chiefs only had the opportunity to score the goal in the first-half, after that we were on top of them," Khenyeza told SuperSport TV.

"We dominated the game but now they are just leading us and we're trailing. Even in the second half we dominated the game totally, we were supposed to get something.

"I think we need to push the boys because it's our responsibility as football coaches to stay stronger and to boost them. In terms of playing and matching other teams, we're matching them but at the end of the day we need to win," he said.

"Again if we show any signs that we're collapsing as coaches. It's all about the players, lot of games to go, we will push. Our technical team is very strong mentally. At the moment we're in this bad patch but we'll keep on going."

The former Chiefs striker went on and conceded that he can shoulder the blame for their poor run instead of blaming the players.

"In front of everything I'll take the blame but we'll keep on pushing the players, we need to protect players because these are professionals, they still have a long to go in their careers," Khenyeza went on.

"We need to sit down with them and encourage them, we can't hang players, in our team we don't blame players, we do each and everything as a team, if we suffer we suffer as a team and if we succeed we succeed as a team, we don't point fingers to anyone," he added.
