Head coach Steve Komphela was full of praise for Lungelo Nguse, nicknamed 'Mbesuma', who came off the bench to inspire a comeback as Golden Arrows drew 2-2 against SuperSport United.

Abafana Bes’thende were two goals down at the interval after Ime Okon and Terrence Dzvukamanja had each scored for Matsatsantsa.

However, Nguse, who was brought on in the 64th minute, needed just six minutes to find the back of the net for Arrows, before Gladwin Shitolo levelled matters in the 82nd minute.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Komphela heaped praise on the 25-year-old, who had scored his fifth goal of the season.

"He’s something else," Komphela told journalists.

"Mbesuma (Nguse) has got something, in that he is very deceptive, that frame of his.

"He is a very big boy and you may think he is slow - no way, he is quick. He is powerful, he is strong and he is clinical. You could see in the goal he scored and he is a goal-scorer.

"Even before I arrived, for Mabhuti Khenyeza, this kid was scoring. I can tell you that this guy is a good attacker. He is a good goal scorer. He is a good striker. We can only work with him."

The draw means Arrows remain in ninth place, level on points with Kaizer Chiefs, who sit one spot above them on the DStv Premiership table.

Meanwhile, SuperSport slipped down to fifth, having drawn their last five league matches.
