According to Mphahele, the players have been sold to Maritzburg United.

Both Makume and Justice Chabalala are expected to be unveiled by the Team Of Choice on Monday afternoon.

"Yes Makume we've sold him to Maritzburg United," Mphahlele told snl24.com/kickoff.

When asked why he chose to sell the players to the KwaZulu-Natal-based club when there were few other offers on the table, he replied, "Money talks, Maritzburg gave us a better offer."

The 26-year-old centre-back' s four-year stay at Bakgakga has seen him playing 78 official matches for them.

Contacted for comment, Maritzburg chairman Farook Kadodia responded,

"At this stage, I can't give a comment or confirm anything, we are waiting for the team to announce first."

In the 2018/19 season, Makume helped Baroka clinch the Telkom Knockout Cup.

The Limpopo club will be playing Motsepe Foundation Championship (Previously known as GladAfrica Championship) football next season following their relegation from the Premier Soccer League.
