In 2022, the PSL launched the Player Transition Programme, which was designed to empower football players to thrive beyond their playing careers.

This year, the initiative has produced 25 graduates who have now already opened the possibility of exploring fields other than football once they eventually make the dreaded decision of hanging up their boots.

According to the organisation, The programme equips the players with valuable life skills, educational opportunities, and career guidance that extend beyond their athletic abilities.

PSL chairman Dr Irvin Khoza relayed the achievement of contributing to a better tomorrow for the players.

"Today, we celebrate not just the graduation of these players, but the empowerment of a generation of future leaders.

"I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed partners, MultiChoice, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in bringing this vision to fruition.

"This collaboration underscores our collective commitment to the holistic development and well-being of our players, ensuring that they are not only successful footballers but also empowered individuals ready to thrive in diverse career paths beyond football."

Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng was also someone who benefited from the initiative, and he shared what he managed to gain from it.
