Jali to decide next transfer move as battle for midfield ace intensifies

Decorated midfielder Andile Jali is set to imminently decide his next transfer move with several DStv Premiership sides reaffirming their interest in the race for the Bafana Bafana international's signature.

Jali is set to remain in South Africa, where his family are settled after turning down a lucrative offer from China.

The 33-year-old is currently a free agent after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the season after a decorated five-year spell at the club.

Former side Orlando Pirates are believed to be interested in sealing a Jali return while Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs are also being linked.

KickOff can reveal that Sekhukhune United have joined the race to recruit the in-demand midfielder with Cape Town City having so far made the most appealing offer with a promise to appoint Jali to a leadership role.

Jali will sit down with agent Mike Makaab to discuss the player's next destination.

"Jali is definitely staying in PSL. He is currently sitting with about three offers including Cape Town City and Sekhukhune United," a source confirmed to KickOff.

"He also turned down an offer from Wydad Casablanca in May this year."

Meanwhile, former side Sundowns have overseen several changes in preparation for the new season with the signing of three players, and the departure of coach Steve Komphela.
