'Flying Eagles won’t lack support''Flying Eagles won’t lack support'Posted: 2009-09-23 10:00 Nigeria's Flying Eagles will not be lacking in support when they begin their campaign to win the FIFA World Youth Championship in Egypt this week. Oche Peters, a former Udoji United coach who runs the Supreme International Sports Academy in Cairo, says their performance at the 5-Nation tournament earlier this year when they finished second behind hosts Egypt, had won them followers.“When it comes to support, the Flying Eagles will not lack any because the team is now very popular in Egypt since their scintillating performances in the Five Nation tournament held here in Egypt that time," Oche, who says he is coordinating Nigerian citizens in Egypt to support the team, told KickOffNigeria.com. The Flying Eagles first training session attracted a huge crowd and Oche said it was a just a taste of things to come. “With what I saw on Monday, the team has undergone total transformation and ready to go in the junior World Cup. I can also tell you that this team would get to at last the final of the competition. That is why I am calling on Nigerians home and abroad to support this team with prayers so that Siasia can lead them to win the competition this time around. “I watched the 2005 class and I can humbly tell you that the present squad of the Flying Eagles is far, far better than that squad. I am very sure that Nigerians will be shocked by the way these boys will perform in this competition. “Everybody that watched the team’s training, including the Egyptian fans have already tipped the team for the final. So with prayers from soccer loving Nigerians, I think we will get it right this time around. “I have also concluded a program to rally round all the football loving Nigerians around Egypt to support the team. So Nigerian Supporters Club led by Dr. Rafiu Ladipo will meet a massive support here when the competition kicks off on Thursday."

Dr Kola: 2009-09-23 11:20 WE ARE TOTALLY BEHIND YOU GUYS, GO AND MAKE US PROUD AND LAUGH AGAIN IN THE SOCCER TOURNAMENT. KUDOS TO SIASIA AND HIS CREWS. maark: 2009-09-23 12:31 Forumites, let the truth be told. The flying eagles wont lack support from fans but they will lack support from the nff. Reason being they spent over 2-3weeks in camp in spain and they payed them meagre 750$ as camp allowance. When the SE failed to beat tunisia they paid them $10,000 for a draw that looks like a loss. Is that not insult on the players. Lets get things right for once and open our mouth so it can be heard Birikiti: 2009-09-23 12:55 I pray for favor all round for the Flying Eagles. Favor with the weather, with the referees, FIFA officials, fans, lucky bounce of the ball e.t.c. I pray that there will be no injuries to our players, all of them are of one mind, focus & purpose; they are strengthened with might by God's spirit in their hearts, minds & bodies. I pray for wisdom for Siasia & his assistants; they make the right decisions & are not given to bickerings; they know the right approach to each match by God's spirit, no distraction is permitted near them or their team; all their plans are bearing good fruits by the special grace of God.... All these I pray in Jesus mighty name.......Amen!!!! Soccer: 2009-09-23 13:07 Very Good and Encouraging News! I pray that the hard Pete : 2009-09-23 14:03 we should encourage our home base players if our football development should grow. moneyman: 2009-09-23 15:53 @mike1, do you mind joining the FE defence? As you know more than the coach. Do not curse me out because you always curse people out. Adeshina : 2009-09-23 17:07 Dear forumites lets pray.. May Sia1 dish out the best of strategies, may our strikers become terrors to the defence and goal post of their opponents, may our midfielders become super-creative and smooth operators in ball delivery, may our defenders be rock solid and well coordinated while our goal tender(s)should be on holiday throughout the duration of the championship in Jesus name... Amen!!! McRichie: 2009-09-23 19:43 I'm not certain about Sia1 winning the tournament, but he would definitely make us proud as usual. This is d guy we want in SE to lead d vanguard of a new Nigerian Super Eagles and not those big men lazying about on the pitch vs Tunisia. Amodu cant stand (lazy), yobo and his co-defender cant hold water (lazy), let's talk about midfield and attack some other time... We need a vibrant and tasty national team. Look at Aluko's desire to play 4 his country under Sia1. That is what Sia1 induces in every1 that plays under him. They can die playing, not 4 d sake of yeye nff, but 4 their darling coach Sia1. Compare them with our present crop of SE, even wen they are paid 4 play (for their fatherland), they still walk like papa ajasco on pitch... Shame on Amodu, Shame on nff. Doyin: 2009-09-23 20:13 @olumadu,u maybe right or wrong. But have u been to KOG or KOS and see a Ghanian or S/African with this ur "too-know attitude"..!,definitely NO. McRichie: 2009-09-23 21:16 @mike1 Adesakin: 2009-09-24 02:04 We`re solidly behind our National Team,we love football,we love our Nation and we would like to cheer them up only if the Nigeria Embassy in Egypt is up to d task.Frankly speaking,The Nigerian Embassy in Egypt is good 4 nothing.May the God be with u Siasia & ur boys. Pete : 2009-09-24 08:05 I have read so much about Samson and with what he has done before as a coach, I strongly believe that he will perform in Egypt, that will commence on thurday 24th sept. 2009. norman: 2009-09-24 08:55 Wondering if anyone has link to where these matches, under 20 world cup will be shown, either on tv or the net.Good luck to the Nigerian team. Prof.: 2009-09-24 12:02 Norman. If you live anywhere in Europe or the US, then fifa.com would show all matches live. Copyright 2007 KICKOFF.com | 2009-09-23 10:00
