Medicine after death! Will the players show more commitment? NO! A country that prides itself as the giant of Africa yet FIFA ignores us thus. No single Nigerian referee is respected by CAF talkless of FIFA. Anybody remember Jean Fidel Diramba? He was the controversial referee that officiated in Nigeria vs Cameroon Nations cup finals in Maroc 1988. Any body remember what transpired? We are giants in population only, and what useless population. No major decisions go our way instead Cameroon and other smaller countries get it. Until we begin to act and look our age, we'll continue to ridicule ourselves in the eyes of the world even ordinary Sudanese FA sees nothing in the NFF.

NFF or NFA or whatever una de call unaselves, una don start dis rubbish again? i can remember after d 1-1 draw with Angola 4 years ago or so u guys paid for all d seats in Angola's last game against Rwanda so that more home support will ensure angola fail....well that did not happen n Angola eventually went to d world cup....u should face d reality on ground now!!!
1. Tunisia is 2 points ahead of Nija now not on level points like Angola was then.
2. Tunisia is a far better team than the angola of then both in terms of experience and in terms of quality.

you guys have failed us Nigerians from LULU - AMANZE - OJO-OBA - OGUNJOBI (who has continued to be reshuffled in the NFF; i wonder whether we lack people with fresh ideas to rule our NFF) - d self acclaimed coach, AMODU; make i no even start with u ****** charlatan...

d only hope now is that we dont just sit down and watch incompetent people run our NFF. By d next election, we shd maske sure that genuine football stakeholders like former proffessionals n maybe coaches run d glass house - DIS WILL BE STEP 1 IN ENSURING THAT WE HAVE HOPE FOR BRAZIL 2014 WITH SIASIA AS COACH (By then all his boys; 2005 WYC team, 2008 Beijing Olympic Team and 2009 WYC team will form d core of Nigeri's squad). i am sure that under a competent coach like siasia Olubayo and Adeleye would be better players and nt what i saw in Abuja d other day with AMODU confusing these young boys leading to their playing rubbish together with the entire team!!!!!! l

The Nigerian Players did very well and deserved to be praised. NFF or NFA is the PROBLEM. Retired players have no managerial skills to take over NFF or NFA. These players need to go back to school and study management, human/organizational relation, leadership and so on. Every retired Nigeria player want to be coach and most of them can not write a short history about themselves.

Nigeria if you want to become great in soccer, you must not be affraid of playing big countries like Germany, Italy, Spain, England, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and so on. I mean friendly games in their country. I bet you, most of the players will pay their way to these games if money is your issue. If Nigeria invest $1 from each barrel of oil sold for 10 days only assuming 1 million barrel a day. That will account to $10 million. It's a shame.

This request is absolute rubbish. Nigeria is not serious. What a BIG shame! The Giant of Africa is begging for a change of time for another team. Thats childish you know. We have failed and thats all. Nigeria will qualify for World Cup in 2018 when we must have put our house in order. When perhaps, this current NFF board must have been dissolved. Poor Nigeria.
As a patriotic Nigerian, I'm calling for his immediate dissolution of the board of NFF. I also call for the disbandment of the Super Eagles.

I bet anyone, until this rotten system in Nigeria is purged (I mean a real revolution in the country)we will not go anywhere in anything let alone football.

Until we begin NOW to tell ourselves the truth; until politics leave our football; until leaders and not LIERS are appointed to lead us; until Sport lovers and not thieves are elected to manage our football; until ASO ROCK kills nepotism or murdering of Federal Character, No good thing will come out of Nazareth. My regards to all of you present, and my other forumites whom i am acquaited with here - Billion, Stilo, etc.
Its quite saddening to find we are in this kind of precarious position on the journey to SA 2010. I also understand and share with every Nigerian that was traumatized and hurt as a result of the game. I understand all your bitter reactions, you have right to...
However i wish to appeal that we put all of these behind us now...
If we want to be smart, we will know that no amount of abusive and derogatory statements can reverse anything now...
let's talk about the way forward...
We can still qualify
We can still reshuffle the NFF ( if necessary)...
We can change the team and its technical crew...
If these are what we need to advance, then let's concentrate on them...
And don't forget, we can still qualify...
Tunisians are not unbeatable, a very physical opposition can stun them. the eagles didn't have the necessary physical aggression that's why the escaped even with stomachs that were fasting.
Let's stop the abuses and the likes now and face this new direction. I beleive this is more noble and result oriented.
We all share the pains...
we pray we come out of all these better!
I pray for Nigeria as a country,

NFF should start supporting other Africa countries that can make meaningful impact at the WC instead of these childish game they are playing.

Does it matter the time you play the game? If you are good and you have confidence in yourself, you won't be asking for the change in time to collide.

Nigeria Confirm Uruguay Friendly
June 25, 2009

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have confirmed an August friendly with South American side Uruguay, but have stated they also want to play an African team in the lead-up to their crucial 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tunisia in Abuja, on September 6.

The NFF's head of technical committee, Taiwo Ogunjobi, says national team coach Shaibu Amodu has requested the additional friendly and that it will most likely take place in London, along with the Uruguayan match-up.

"Yes, it is true that the coach would want an African team; we are working on that and at the same time, we have an agreement for friendly with Uruguay in London in August. We hope to manage this and ensure we play a game around that time," he said.

Nigeria trail Tunisia by two points in their qualifying group and know that a win in Abuja, with a home tie against Mozambique and an away trip to Kenya to come, will put qualification for South Africa in their own hands

NIGERIA Football Federation, NFF, came out from their hibernation yesterday and declared that they would swim and sink with under-fire coach, Amodu Shuaibu, in the remaining matches of the 2010 World Cup. After the annoying 2-2 draw against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, many Nigerians had asked for the sack of the Coach. But NFF President, Sani Lulu Abdullahi vowed yesterday to swim and sink with the former BCC Lions coach because of his limited resources.





“I don’t have the resources for the services of a foreign coach. What that means is that I’ll keep Amodu. I have confidence in him. He is beginning to assert himself on these players. Honestly, they don’t dictate to Amodu. Amodu may have many deficiencies, but that does not make him the worst coach in the universe. Amodu is stubborn because he believes in what he is doing”, Lulu who was looking very trim and sober from his usual vibrant self said.

He admonished Nigerians to believe in made-in Nigeria. “Let’s believe in made in Nigeria. I believe in it and that is why I am sticking with Amodu. Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire may have foreign coaches, but we should be proud and I have told Amodu he should prove himself that he is the best just as I am the best FA Chairman”, Lulu preached.

Journalists protested and said that since football is the game of the people, and the voice of the people is the voice of God, that Amodu should be sacked. Lulu did not budge. “I cannot give what I don’t have. Amodu is it!”, Lulu emphatically ruled, noting that “Eagles will still qualify”.

when will we ever learn? i hate foreing coaches but its sad that apart from SIA1 its only foreing coaches that can stamp their authority in the team. how sad....now we better start playing friendly matches to tune up for the 2014 world cup qualifiers...

the NFF always love to take pills that will not heal thier sickness. Telling fifa to ask Tunsia to fix a time simultaneous to the kickoff Nigeria does not make sence. Even if FIFA forces Tunisia to play the game in a neutral ground or even in Kenya, they will still beat kenya without mercy. and who said the eagles might not even draw thier game with mozambique.

Untill the we start been serious we cannot qualify for the world cup. I think the last world cups we played were played by serious players like Rashidi Yekini and Company not like this set of players. They are a disgrace to the Green-White-Green flag. they should be stripped of that shirt.

Even if the squad is over-hauled, the next crop of players will still do the same thing. So i don't really know what is wrong.

Hey Mr. James, I did not mean to say that the people at NFF went to school. I am frustrated that retired eagles players are not challenging to take over the leadership of NFF, players like Adokie A. If people like Sunday oliseh hold an MBA degree with his coaching Lic. The whole Africa will be behind him and support him to get into NFF and make some changes. Some of the retired players can become referees and help change the referee saga in Nigeria. Everyone of the retired players cannot be coach.

It just shows that the guys in NFF do not know FIFA's statutes. In FIFA's statutes, it is stated that all final group matches in any major competition will be played simultaneously to avoid any sell out. How then will FIFA say that the match day 5 encounters be played at the same time when it is not the final day match?
