Uche 'surprised' by injury claims

Nigeria forward Ike Uche has expressed surprise over reports in Nigeria that he is down with a foot injury and doubtful for this month's 2010 World Cup qualifier against Mozambique.

"I am surprised to hear that I have a foot injury," Uche told sports daily SoccerStar. "It’s not true. As a matter of fact, I was embarrassed when the news got to me."   The Getafe man, who said he trained Tuesday ahead of this weekend's meeting against Valladollid, explained that he was only asked given time off to rest.   "I was only advised to rest on Monday due to the knocks I received in our last match against Malaga on Sunday.   "I trained twice on Tuesday in preparation for this weekend's match, and I just want to say I am not injured," the striker said.

IK you will not be injured in Jesus Name. Amen. Don't mind those rumour mongers, they have come again. In fact it is them that will be injured in their businesses.

They have also posted that Obasi is injured and will not play football untill about one month, or is it the coaches and club rumour to keep him out of SE's match with Mozambique.

Firstly, KON, after waiting for ages for a new story u acted true to type by using a picture anyone could swear was anyone. That said, the rumour mills will always churn out stories, true or not, and methinks the onus is on the NFF, the technical committee and the team manager to verify claims as one expects them to be in constant touch with our players. We ain't bothered one bit by such stories. Ike, go to Maputo and kick butts!

THANK GOD THE BAD NEWS IS NOT TRUE .
I was only advised to rest on Monday due to the knocks I received in our last match against Malaga on Sunday.
I PRAY THAT YOU WILL BE 100% FIT BEFORE THE MATCH.

Chinedu Obasi is injured and will be out of action for 4 weeks.The German news have already confirm it.
