He was speaking to KickOff.com after his side slumped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Thanda Royal Zulu at Woodburn Stadium on Sunday.
The defeat was the sixth suffered by United and it sees them sit 14th on the log with 16 points from 14 games.
Before the Thanda game, United were beaten 3-0 by Mamelodi Sundowns in Tshwane.
“I am hugely disappointed because we dominated and had a few chances, but could not put them away. We seriously have to strengthen the team in central defence and middle of the park.
“I want us to be physically stronger. This thing of not winning has seen the morale in the team dropping,” Igesund added.
Thanda coach Roger Palmgren said he was happy that his team has found form. Sunday’s win was their second in a row after thumping of Moroka Swallows 4-2.
“Since changing tactics, our defence has become more stable than before. We are playing much better now. I am happy that our forwards, Nkosinathi Nhleko and Felix Obada, are in form,” said Palmgrem.
