Leal arrived at training this morning for work only to find club boss Irvin Khoza and other members of management team addressing the players about the latest developments regarding the technical team at Parktown.
"I guess the coach did not know about the suspension because he came with the rest of the team and went to the changeroom to dress up in his tracksuit to prepare the team for training session," a Bucs player tells KickOff.com, on condition of anonymity.
"The chairman was already at training to address the players about the latest developments. The chairman told us the Augasto Palacious is now our caretaker coach until they find a new coach.
The departure of the Brazilian coach also seems to have taken the players by surprise, as they thought their relationship had improved.
"We spoke after the game in Angola that we all need to pull together for the benefit of the club. I thought everything was back into normal and working together towards a common goal to help the club continue winning titles. I think all the players were surprised about the latest development."
Palacious, meanwhile, seemed to enjoy his first training session, and the players looked like they are ready to work with him to defend the League and the Nedbank Cup.
"The players that worked with him before say is a very good coach and likes discipline. We are ready to work with him for the benefit of team and the club supporters," the Pirates player says.

is Raphatlhela aware that is no longer a player?
evry where he goes is either he wear a chibuku shirt or bafanabafna, even at thabang lebese funeral he rocked in with chibuku fc track suites,
whether he was aware or not, we have a game against Santos tomorrow.
Leal is now history, we rather focus on the team n Njenje
i am warning Chiefs in advance because Augusto know the culture at the club
Talking about Leal is like wishing for Teko,Cheese, etc to be stil at Pirates.
Life must move on and fortunately in the best interest of Pirates fans and their team.
Even these Chibuku fans are blind to see gore Dr Khoza umampara. Leal must take Khoza to High Court.
