SA to face Africa's big guns in PE

Nelson Mandela Challenge South Africa vs Ivory Coast set for PE

Posted: 20 October 2011 Time: 12:42 pm

KickOff.com has been reliably informed that the 2011 Nelson Mandela Challenge will take place in Port Elizabeth.

Safa CEO Robin Peterson said last week that the Association was likely to announce details regarding the match sometime this week, once the venue has been confirmed.

There is no word from Safa House yet regarding the match, but KickOff.com understands that the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth will host the clash, which will be the 17th edition of the Nelson Mandela Challenge.

The match has been pencilled in for Saturday, November 12.

Bafana Bafana will be playing the number-one ranked team in Africa, Ivory Coast, at this annual international football showpiece.

Peterson could not immediately be reached for comment.

Kick off is at it again confusing the public and publishing unresearched stories. The article yesterday stated CT as host city for this game now PE!
Anyway, the most sensible thing that SAFA can do right now is to let Mashaba play his U23 side to prepare for the Olympic qualifier 'cause I doubt if Cote d'Ivoire will bring their full strenght side. Most of the playas who featured against Sierra L-should be given a long break to do some serious introspection before being allowed to rep. SA again. AMEN!

I suggest Safa postpone the game after what happened two weeks back, South Africans are very angry and will not support this game we wont have time for such as we preparing for festive season, let them sort their issues before they embarass us again, postpone the game till further notice or nizoswaba. Thina sizobe siphansi komthunzi welanga nama coolerbox wethu ngo November welcoming i-festive season. Thanks

please alert the technical stuff about the rules that need to be used in order to win the match, because they might think that we'll take the Mandela Cup if we draw at home, please please editors keep pitso and his clueless technical stuff aware of what they need to do with his BaFunny BaFunny players, that they need to score goals and win the game square up
