Former France youth international Kevin Osei is out of the Africa Youth Championships after delays in acquiring a Ghanaian passport for him.
Marseille-born Osei, who captained the French Under-17 side and is on the books of Olympique Marseille, was part of the squad that has spent the last week in Nairobi, but missed out on the final squad released by coach Orlando Wellington on Tuesday.
Wellington said the midfielder was released by the technical team from Nairobi back to his base in Marseille.
Ghana begin the defense of the African Youth title they won in Rwanda two years ago against Nigeria.
