The former Stoke City goalkeeper, who is a past national coach of Bangladesh and played at Hellenic, takes over for the last nine games of the season. Aces have moved Dolezar to the position of technical director to spare him the embarrassment of outright firing. Harrison, 50, was acting as goalkeeper coach at Aces since January. He worked in the same job at Everton in the past. His other management experience includes working at Clyde in Scotland. Dolezar took over from Neil Tovey from the beginning of the year but lost eight of his nine matches in charge and was moved aside after a meeting with management on Tuesday. Out of a possible 27 points, he has managed to secure just three points despite the club signing a bevy of new players and Dolezar clearing out 15 squad members who had done duty in the first half of the season. With just eight points to their name this season, Aces are in danger of becoming the worst club ever in top-flight history. But mathematically they still have a chance to save themselves but only if they win all their remaining games and their nearest rivals lose. Aces fired coach Savvas Agiomamitis after losing their first three games of the season, replacing him with Tovey. Under the former Bafana Bafana captain, Aces beat Orlando Pirates away and drew two more of Tovey's first four games in charge but then lost five in a row, which led to his sacking after the 2-0 home loss to Kaizer Chiefs just before Christmas. Dolezar took over at the start of the year and was proclaimed as the "Sir Alex Ferguson of South African soccer". But with just a single win over SuperSport United and no obvious solution to Aces' plight, he is now no longer in charge, leaving Harrison with a tough job.
