Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has given the thumbs up to Richard Kingson for his displays so far for the club.
Kingson put in another efficient display in his side’s 2-2 draw against Bolton on Saturday after making the step up from second choice to number one in the absence of regular goalkeeper Matt Gilks.
It was Kingson’s fourth straight game for the club and a rarity for a player who has spent much of his four years in England on the bench.
Kingson though has taken his first team chance quiet well and keen to hold unto it for as long as possible.
"Watching Richard play so far, he has done a great job," explained Holloway. "It looks as though he has had the shirt all his life - I'm delighted for him."
Kingson did not make a single appearance for wigan Athletic last season and is determined to make the most of his chance now.
"Firstly, I wish Matthew a speedy recovery as we are all a family here," Kingson, 32, told BBC Sport.
"But it's perhaps the time for me to play and if I do well, maybe I'll become number one."
