Has Mzansi given up on Collins Mbesuma?

Posted: 17 August 2010 Time: 10:00

It seems Collins Mbesuma's poor disciplinary record is outweighing his goalscoring abilities as he continues his struggle to find a new club.

With less than two weeks to go before the 2010/11 Absa Premiership season kicks off, the Zambian international is yet to find new employment after recently being shown the door at Moroka Swallows.   Mbesuma was the hottest property around when he netted 35 goals for Kaizer Chiefs in the 2004/05 campaign, but a succession of failed moves abroad, coupled with disciplinary and weight problems upon his return to South Africa, have hampered his progress.   The Chipolopolo striker's agent, Francesco Ferreri from Prosport International, admits they are battling to find their client a new club in South Africa, with a reported move to Maritzburg United the latest to fall through.   "It has been tough to find a team for him locally. However, we are not ready to give up and have now set our sights on finding him a team in Europe," Ferreri tells KickOff.com.
