Laryea Kingston could be heading back for a return to Russia after newly promoted side Anzhy Makhachkala said he is the type of midfielder they need.
The premier division side in the troubled region of Dagestan are in their first top flight season and Russia and their manager Gadzhi Gadzhiev. "Yes, we are interested in signing him. I believe that this midfielder is up to the level of our premier league.”
Before joining Hearts in 2007, Kingston spent several years in Russia playing for Krylia Sovetov Samara, Terek Grozny and Lokomotiv Moscow. Gadzhiev had already had an experience working with him in Samara.
He has been in Accra since he was released by Hearts and is said to be reluctant at this stage about a return to Russia.
