Bafana Bafana starting XI v Mexico

Bafana Bafana head coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has revealed the line-up for today's World Cup opening match against Mexico at Soccer City.

The Brazilian revealed in a media briefing that the team that started Bafana's international friendly against Denmark at the Lucas ‘Masterpieces' Moripe stadium a week ago will be the one carrying the hopes of the nation.   "The players know and from the beginning it will be the same team that started against Denmark," said Parreira.   "I will tell my players to go enjoy the game, finish. I cannot put more pressure. It won't be wise to put pressure on them. They know they have to deliver. I don't think there will be a team fitter better than our team in this competition and if there is one thing we did right for Bafana was to give the team the identity. I believe in Bafana," he said.   Line-up: Khune - Gaxa, Mokoena, Khumalo, Thwala - Letsholonyane, Dikgacoi, Pienaar, Modise, Tshabalala – Mphela
