As it stands now the international Under-19 tournament remains a non starter as Safa has still not yet granted permission to the orginisers of the event which is set to be staged in Cape Town during December. The local football association had earlier warned the PSL to make proper application for permission to host the tournament, but to this date the organisers of the tournament have not applied for permission to go on with preparations of the event. Safa vice-president Mwelo Nonkonyane confirmed to KickOff.com that his office has still not received an application from the organisers of the Cape Town Peace tournament for permission to host the tournament. “We have received nothing regarding the tournament. The rules remain the same; no tournament can be staged in the country without permission from Safa. “As it stand now the tournament will not go on without the permission from Safa.”
