Mason Greenwood has now reportedly garnered the interest of a top European club.

The Englishman's future remains a hot topic following Manchester United's decision to conduct their own internal investigation after the charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control against the player were dropped earlier this year, with the forward and the club said to have held numerous talks around his future since.

While it is unclear what decision the Red Devils' hierarchy could reach, reports suggest that the Manchester club recently turned down offers from Turkish sides to sign Greenwood on a loan deal.

Now, according to Relevo, Italian giants AC Milan are interested in the 21-year-old's services, with the Serie A champions said to appreciate his technical qualities.

Stefano Pioli's side currently have an ageing attack featuring Olivier Giroud (36) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (41), while Divock Origi, who has failed to impress since joining from Liverpool last year, has been linked with a move away.

The report adds that Greenwood is also keen to relocate and have a fresh start elsewhere, with a move to the San Siro potentially appealing to the forward.

United have been linked with AC Milan's Rafael Leao in the past, so it remains to be seen if a potential swap deal could be on the cards.

Before his suspension by the club, Greenwood made 129 appearances across all competitions for United's senior, netting 35 goals and creating 12 assists.
