Striker Kermit Erasmus revealed how his Orlando Pirates side better adapted to the windy conditions at Moses Mabhida Stadium to defend the MTN8 title against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Goalkeeper Sipho Chaine proved the hero as Pirates defeated Sundowns thanks to a tense penalty shootout after a goalless stalemate after 120 minutes of football.

“Obviously, with the wind, it wasn’t easy,” Erasmus said post-match.
“But I think we used it to our advantage in the first half where we knew we had to press high because we knew any long ball played would come back.
“It’s a challenge and you try to figure out ways to overcome these challenges.
“But overall, it was a great performance from the team, I think we deserved to win today.
“We deserve to be champions, we showed it in every aspect of the game. In the way we started the game to how we ended it.
“It’s been a good evening.”
