As the clock continues to tick towards kickoff of the MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, Kermit Erasmus has made a declaration.
Erasmus will stand in the colours of Pirates on Saturday evening hoping to make it three in a row after lifting the trophy with his current employers last year while he was also on the winning side in 2021 while still at Sundowns.

The veteran striker goes into this MTN8 decider with memories of having done against Sundowns in last year’s semi-finals when Pirates won 3-0.
"It is a game that both teams want to win and there are no friends on the field of play because for those 90 minutes we are there to work and grind the results and be victorious," says Erasmus ahead of Saturday’s final.
"There is no emotion playing against my former team," points out Erasmus.
"I was only there for two seasons and have no animosity towards anybody at the club.
"I’m good with all the players and still friends with them.
"I’m happy that I’m back now and just trying to build on that and hopefully on the weekend I can give the best version and do my best in helping the team execute the plan.
"You give your best when given the chance to play," says Erasmus while sharing his thoughts on the competition at the club.
Zakhele Lepasa has been the preferred option so far upfront and has delivered the goals.
"The competition is healthy and there are no conflicts amongst us as strikers and are there to motivate each other when players play ahead of the other.
"The effort on the day is the most important thing apart from the chances that we create.
"I think if we play well on the day, we are bound to create chances and like I said it comes with composure and calmness.
"Our focus as a team is to perform well, the chances will create themselves," says Erasmus.
