All the suspects have been remanded into custody and are set to appear in court again on April 19 for bail application.
Fleurs was shot dead during a hijacking incident at a petrol station in Johannesburg last week. The Amakhosi defender was confirmed dead on arrival at the nearby medical facility after being shot in the upper body before the suspects fled the scene with the victim's car, a red VW Golf 8 GTI.
Kaizer Chiefs have since retired Luke Fleur's jersey number 26 at Naturena in honour of the former Uner 23 international.
"In his honour and to ensure he is not forgotten, our executive chairman Dr Kaizer Moutaung has agreed that we would retire Luke's jersey number 26. This doesn’t happen more often, but as a fallen soldier the entire institution believes that this is the right thing to do and we want to ensure that his legacy is with us forever,” said Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director, Kaizer Jnr Motaung during Luke Fleurs Memorial Service in Johannesburg on Thursday.
