Let's take a closer look at what the readers had to say...

KO Comments

Orlando Pirates went down to league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend in a narrow 1-0 defeat.

The tightly-contested encounter saw the Buccaneers go scoreless for the first time this year, the last time being in December when they were outclassed by the same opponent.

On the "'The game was absolutely dominated by Orlando Pirates' - Riveiro" story, the disappointed Spaniard stated that his side dominated the game in every scenario.

Here's what the readers had to say about that:

"I saw 5 or more Pirates players ganging around the ref in protest each time the whistle was blown against or in their favour. This needs to be curbed because it'll filter to the fans and make games unmanageable for the ref," says eliphustho10.

"Sundowns is on another level. It will take you many years to catch up on condition that you have a vision and not quick fixes," says livymatlabotse.

"Domination is not the ultimate goal of football. No one cares to remember that but they'll surely remember the winners," says Slimtony7.

"From what I heard, there is a goalscorer coach at Pirates. What happened in this game? And you were correct, coach, when you said someone will not be happy. I am happy it is not Rulani. Pule hitting the up-right has got nothing to do with money," says thulasmda.

"Pirates needs a creative midfielder, they need to supply and create scoring opportunities for strikers. Some players are still not good to play for Pirates. Shortage of quality strikers is killing the team," says tthembs01.

Read: Sad ending for Billiat as he misses out on big achievement

Kaizer Chiefs' Khama Billiat is set to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn groin muscle.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, this injury results in a sad end to Billiat's Chiefs career, also meaning that he could stay stranded on 97 goals for the Glamour Boys.

On the "Sad ending for Billiat as he misses out on big achievement" story, a few readers were ruthless in their comments on the Zimbabwean star:

"He is milking Bobby's money without compensation," says Saavedra.

"5 seasons, no trophy and Themba Zwane 5 seasons, 5 league gold medals. The choices we make," says thulasmda.

"Awu! Shame, I used to like this boy, but I don't see him continuing at Chiefs next season. Supersport United will be his next destination," says bhekilekhuleni6.
