During the January transfer window, Kaizer Chiefs were reportedly in for Cape Town City's Mduduzi Mdantsane.

The deal fell through on the final day of the window and Citizens coach Eric Tinkler revealed that it was Amakhosi who chose to pull out at the last minute.

Tinkler also stated that the club would never stand in the way of a player who wants to better themselves and move to either Sundowns, Chiefs and Pirates.

Here's how the readers reacted on the "Further details emerge on purported Mdantsane to Chiefs deal" story:

"This is a very good attacking midfielder who score goals. Now I know why he lost his goal scoring form," says @Normz.

"Eish, with the midfield that Chiefs currently has, Mdantsane would have made a huge difference, a massive difference. Also coming with goals. No other midfielder scores goals at Chiefs except for Nkosingiphile (Ngcobo) and Keagan (Dolly)," says mthunzijack.

"It proves that there is massive poor planning at Chiefs that after all these years, we decided to make an offer in the last minute and then pull out. Chiefs will never be the same with the type of management team we have.

"It is very sad that the most loved team is so weak for so many years," says Khothakhosi

Kaizer Chiefs' Brandon Peterson made quite the claim in the "Chiefs goalkeeper makes bold call on future" story, by saying he wants to play until he's 45-years-old, if Chiefs lets him stay there.

Peterson, who's earning a starting birth over Itumeleng Khune at the moment, spoke glowingly about his club.

He says he's committed to sticking with the Glamour Boys, and regards the club as one of the biggest on the continent.

The readers responded in brutal fashion:

"Big clubs in Africa are winning cups my friend. You are also talking about the facilities as well. Mmmmm!!!" says ngwanamoshate.70.

"You forgot to say 'I'm happy to spend the rest of my career trophy less, I'm happy here'" says Mpho P.
