Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly at risk of losing one of his star players in the next window.

One of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City stars is now reportedly intent on a move away from the club, and has his sights set on a preferred destination.

Playmaker Bernardo Silva first joined the Citizens from Monaco in 2017, and has since made more than 300 appearances for Guardiola's side.

Now, after winning five Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League trophy, two FA Cups and four Carabao Cups, the Portuguese midfielder is eyeing a move to FC Barcelona, according to Sport

It is claimed the 29-year-old feels this is his last season at the Etihad, with his family also said to be keen on a change in scenery.

The 2019 Portuguese Player of the Year has also reportedly visited the Spanish city on a number of occasions in recent months.

This news comes after he was heavily linked with a move to the LALIGA giants in the window at the beginning of the current campaign.

It is also suggested that Silva has got into contact with his former club teammates, and now Barca stars, Ilkay Gundogan and Joao Cancelo to ask them about life at the Blaugrana.

Guardiola, meanwhile, is believed to understand the player's desire to seek a new challenge in a different setting, with a release clause of about £50 million (roughly R1.1 billion) being the only obstacle for any potential suitor.

Barca are said to be aware of the price they would have to pay to secure the former SL Benfica star's services, but negotiating a better price is believed to be an option that is also on the table.

It is understood that French giants Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in Silva's signature, but it appears he only has eyes for one destination at this point.

The Portugal international has accumulated 11 goals and five assists for City so far this season, most recently scoring the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Chelsea to help City secure a place in the FA Cup final.
