French brothers top Zinedine Zidane's wish list

It seems to be a case of two is better than one for Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, who has reportedly identified brothers Lucas and Theo Hernandez as his top transfer targets for the next window.

French media report that Zidane is looking to bolster his squad ahead of next season, and that the Los Blancos manager has identified the Hernandez brothers as two of his priority signings.

According to Le10Sport, the 47-year-old is hoping to sign Lucas from Bayern Munich and reunite him with younger brother Theo, whom Real sold to AC Milan at the beginning of the current season.

Theo joined the Serie A giants in a deal worth €20 million (R402 million), and is said to have impressed Zidane with his form in the first half of the campaign, during which he scored six goals in 25 appearances.

It has been claimed further that a potential stumbling block to the Hernandez's family reunion is Bayern's asking price for Lucas, whom the club reportedly value at €80 million (R1.6 billion).

The brothers, who both play in defence, started their senior careers with Atletico Madrid and are the sons of former professional footballer Jean-Francois Hernandez.
