The highest-paid star at every Premier League club

With a number of big names joining the Premier League in the most recent window, we take a look at the highest-paid stars at every EPL club today.

The teams in England's top flight went big over the past couple of months, breaking their transfer spending record for a season in only one window.

Estimates from Deloitte's sports business group detail that, in gross spend, Premier League clubs paid out £1.9 billion (R38 billion) on transfers, beating the previous record (for both the off-season and January windows in the 2017/18 season) comfortably by £487.8 million (R9.8 billion).

Arsenal had a busy window, with Gabriel Jesus being their marquee incoming. The Brazilian joined from Manchester City and in the process, earned a sizeable salary increase. He now has a weekly gross wage of £265 000 (R5.3 million), making him the Gunners' best-paid player.

Raheem Sterling, meanwhile, completed his blockbuster exit from Pep Guardiola's side and moved to Chelsea in August, and the Englishman now holds the title of being the Blues' biggest earner following Romelu Lukaku's loan switch to Inter Milan.

The winger is understood to earn a gross salary of £325 000 (R6.5 million) a week at Stamford Bridge.

In the red half of Manchester, Cristiano Ronaldo still reigns supreme at the Red Devils as one of the highest earners in football with a gross wage of £515 385 (R10.3 million) a week, according to Capology.

Newcastle United ended their window by breaking their transfer record for Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad at a fee of £63 million (R1.2 billion).

Perhaps surprisingly, though, it is Kieran Trippier who remains the Geordie club's top-paid player with a weekly salary of £144 231 (R2.8 million).
