During a 2-2 draw with West Ham United last weekend, the German tactician was seen in a heated confrontation with the 31-year-old.

Salah was being substituted on in the 79th minute when their argument started, with a professional lip reader having suggested the winger was threatening to get himself sent off.

West Ham forward Michail Antonio has since said that Klopp became furious when Salah did not take his hand, and asked his African superstar if he wanted to sit back on the bench.

Speaking post-match, Salah added fuel to the fire when he stated there would be "fire" if he talked about the incident, while Klopp attempted to play down the spat.

Now, ahead of Liverpool's Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Klopp has insisted his relationship with Salah remains strong.

"Completely resolved. It's no problem," he said, according to This Is Anfield

"If we wouldn't know each other for that long, I'm not sure how we would deal with it, but we know each other, respect each other, so it's no problem.

"I think we have the right to deal with these things completely independent of any expectation from the outside. We're absolutely fine, it's a non-story.

"In general, the best situation would be everybody is in the best possible place, we win the games, we score loads of goals.

"And then, yes, the situation would probably not have been like that, because Mo would not have been on the bench in the first place."
