DStv Premiership side TS Galaxy FC have reportedly bizarrely suspended the club's media officer Minenhle Mkhize.

According to sources Mkhize is being accused by his own club of 'spreading stories' regarding the club's financial situation.

Galaxy are allegedly at loggerheads with some members of the technical team, players and support staff over unpaid salaries.

The 20-day mid-season trip to Turkey is believed to be the reason behind the club's financial woes.

Both the club's president Tim Sukazi and marketing director Dudu Sukazi could not be reached for comment.

"Yes the man has been put on special leave as the club suspect he might have something to do with the leaked information," a source tells KickOff.

"He is currently not reporting for duty, but the players that have not been paid are still very much part of the team.

"But the support staff sometimes only report once a week because some of them can no longer afford petrol.

"I think the coach also helps out with funds towards petrol because he is still receiving a salary.

"Mkhize is currently on leave, at the moment Tim and his wife are the ones who are communicating with the media, She's the team's marketing director.

"I think the club should explain things to the players to be transparent."

When contacted Mkhize said that he would clarify the situation at a later stage.

"Please let me come back to you, I will explain everything then."
