Orlando Pirates have unveiled the squad's numbers for the 2024/25 season, with new signing Gilberto handed his official shirt number, while several players have traded their old numbers for new ones.
On Friday, the Buccaneers announced, via a video on their social media platforms, the jersey numbers for the new season.
Marquee signing Gilberto has been handed the number 11 previously worn by Fortune Makaringe and would mostly be remembered for being used by Teko Modise between 2007 and 2011.

Selaelo Rasebotja, another signing from SuperSport United, has been handed jersey number 31, while goalkeeper Bayanda Zulu will have number 41 on the back of his shirt.
In terms of players who were already at the club, Makhehlene Makhaula has traded in the number 16 for the number 8 from Thabang Monare, while Thalente Mbatha takes over the number 16.

Olisa Ndah has also dropped number 49 for 6.
Goodman Mosele and Boitumelo Radiopane, both returnees from loan spells, go back to their old numbers 20 and 42 respectively.
Pirates begin their campaign with the defence of their MTN8 title against Matsatsantsa at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off at 18:00.
