Tso reveals son's biggest challenge

Orlando Pirates legend Benedict "Tso" Vilakazi has revealed what he thinks will be his son's biggest challenge ahead of his DStv Premiership debut season.

Thato Mohlamme, the son of the legendary Vilakazi recently was signed by Richards Bay FC from Uthongathi FC.

Vilakazi lifted two league titles and scored over 50 goals for Pirates.

"I always say to my son, you are not me, that's why I gave you your own name," Vilakazi tells KickOff.

"That means you must do things your own way. I played my part.

"The challenge is that he needs to take it to another level. That's the sad part.

"The fact that he didn't start at a big team says a lot. He really needs to double his work.

"I was lucky to have supportive experienced players at Pirates, where unfortunately for him, that's not the case at Richards Bay FC. They are all in the same age group.

"I told him not to underestimate Richards Bay because they are a big team playing in a big league. You have to work.

"What people can expect from him, is that he's an attacking-midfielder, very smart, with speed.

"He can play combination play, can play route one football, can become a supportive striker.

"It showed when they were playing in the Premier's Cup over the weekend. He had two chances where he could have scored."
