Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana delivered a Man of the Match performance as Romanian giants FCSB defeated FCV Farul 1-0, to top the SuperLiga standings.

Ngezana got his third start of the season and put in a solid shift that included five blocked shots, six clearances and two interceptions in the heart of the defence for the 26-time Romanian league champions.

The 26-year-old's form continues to improve after making a slow start to life in Europe, having been made to wait until matchday six to make his official debut.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Virtuoso Ngezana delivers Man of the Match performance" story:

"Mbazo part 2. The player that's not doing it for local fans but gets praises overseas, I won't be surprised if Ngezana ends up playing in one of the top 3 leagues in Europe in the future," says Snowman.

"He'd be very lucky if that happened. He's 26, by the time he's made a name for himself in Europe he'd be 29 or 30, don't see Top 3 leagues luring a first timer in their leagues at that age. Ngezi would've to be exceptional, ala Van Dyk type of defender. But what this latest move could do though, is, set him up for big money moves to either the Middle East or MLS when he gets into his 30s.

"If he remains disciplined and works hard, he stands in good stead to really coin it later on in his career," replies Lesoganatsoko.

"He can only get better than this. Big up to you, big guy. I said it before on this blog that you are going to be an important member of that team. Would love to see you playing in the French, English or Italian leagues now in two to three seasons now," says user9499915.

Orlando Pirates went down 1-0 to Botswanan side Jwaneng Galaxy in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round first-leg on Sunday.

Morena Ramoreboli's side took the lead and the eventual winner in the 21st minute curtesy of a Daniel Msendami strike.

Galaxy almost doubled their lead through a Benson Mangolo finish that was eventually ruled offside, with the Buccaneers heading into the second-leg at home on 29 September with a one-goal deficit.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Pirates fall to Galaxy in CAFCL first-leg" story:

"Ramoreboli, the same coach that beat Pirates 4-1 with that Maluti FET Team," says Mokaubere.

"Serious Khosi? If that's true, then it means he has the Mighty Orlando Pirates' number mos," replies Skyvodka.

"We did not give this game the respect it needed... finish and klaar," says Skyline.

"I hope his [Jose Riveiro] plan does not blow up, he can still lose on Wednesday and next weekend," says 999@MKM.

"That's what happens when you play a game thinking of the Mighty Mamelodi Sundowns. You go down to a Daniel Msendami goal," says INBOX VAT ALLES.

"Spanish Pirates do not fail to fail. They do it at every given opportunity," says Dr Mthimkhulu.

"Not good at all, but luckily there's still another 90 minutes left. Up the Bucs," says morewasn.

"Chiefs is Southern Africa's last club to play CCL final. No club is about to break that, despite some clubs perennially participating to add numbers in the CCL," says Danito 4 Life.

"Those club you're speaking of, are adding numbers to the continental stage, back at home, are crowned champions. They have medals and cups to prove it, each season. They have a star above their club badges, to prove that they didn't only reach the final, but took the continental trophy, now you come and tell us about final you didn't even win,

"You're bragging to fans who support a team that have been there and clinched it.. the record is not the final, but the clinching of a trophy, which your team will never do, it's you and your team who will never break the record set by these two teams with a star above the badge," replies Mabaleng1.

"The mighty Amakhosi have fallen. They celebrate losing a Cup Final," replies pvmotshabi.
