The Carling Cup Black label Cup is in its fourth edition and the growth of fan participation in the past years has proven how this popular pre-season tournament captured the hearts of many football fanatics.
“South African fans have once again thrown their support behind the Carling Black Label Cup and we are excited to see just them rally this campaign. The growth we saw in fan participation from year one till now has been phenomenal,” says Carling Black Label general manager Vijay Govindsamy.
“We anticipate a good turnout and would like to encourage fans to keep on voting for their starting line-ups till closing date. It is going to be another fantastic match,” he added.
In order to select their starting XI, fans over the age of 18 can start by purchasing a Carling Black Label beer and they can either dial *120*764* or go into the website www.carlingblacklabel.co.za.
They must then enter their unique code found on the underside of the bottle cap or can pull ring and the # sign (with no spaces in between), and can then choose the team they would like to manage, and the players they would like to see start. Voting will remain open until Tuesday, July 22.
Orlando Pirates won the first two instalments of the Carling Black Label Cup on penalties, before Kaizer Chiefs claimed their first title last year.
