Ghana release scathing respone to SAFA complaint

The Ghana Football Association has released a scathing response to the formal complaint by SAFA to world football body FIFA regarding the controversial World Cup qualifier.

SAFA president Danny Jordaan detailed a comprehensive formal complaint made to FIFA following Bafana Bafana's controversial 1-0 World Cup qualifier defeat to Ghana.

The South African Football Association lodged a formal complaint after Sunday's clash was shrouded in controversy amid a number of questionable refereeing decisions.

Chief among the calls made by Senegalese referee Maguette N'Diaye was his dubious decision to award Ghana a penalty for an alleged foul on Daniel Amartey, which ultimately resulted in Andre Ayew scoring the match-winning goal from the spot.

Ghana has now strongly responded to those claims made by SAFA, calling it shocking, irresponsible and outright disrespect.
