The Cameroonian's legal representatives are believed to now be pushing for the club not to be registered for the new season.
FIFA have long ordered Celtic to pay Tignyemb the R3 million owed to him after he took his unfair dismissal case to the world football governing body.
But Celtic have yet to pay and in doing face a two-window transfer ban which has now come into effect as confirmed by SAFA.
Tignyemb's representatives have now added fuel to the fire in a letter addressed to the club licensing department at SAFA and copied to the PSL and CAF club licensing department as a petition to without Celtic's license for the new season.
"We write to complain about the conduct of your affiliate club Bloemfontein Celtic and request that they not be granted a license to play in the 2022 South African Premier League because of undue payables owed to our client Patrick Tignyemb," reads part of the letter.
"According to CAF Club Licensing Regulations, in order to receive the license, each club must fulfil all the mandatory minimum requirements set in the National Club Licensing Regulations (which must respect the minimum requirements set by CAF). If the license applicant does not fulfil any "A" criteria requirement, it cannot be granted a license to enter the CAF inter-clubs' competitions. Bloemfontein Celtic are in contravention of Article F.03 of the CAF Licensing Regulations – No payables overdue towards employees and social/tax authorities. This article is also embodied in Article 9.3.3 of the SAFA Club Licensing Regulations. In the decision of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber passed in Zurich, Switzerland, on 22 October 2020 regarding an employment-related dispute concerning the player Patrick Tignyemb, a total of 3,000, 000 Rand was awarded against Bloemfontein Celtic to our client's favour.
"Their refusal/failure to pay our client is a violation of Article F.03 of the CAF Club Licensing Regulations and Article 9.3.3 of the SAFA Club Licensing Regulations which is an A-Grade requirement and if the license applicant does not fulfil any ''A" criteria requirement, it cannot be granted a license to enter for the new season. According to 3.4.1.3 of the SAFA Club Licensing Regulations – Approved by the NEC on 18 August 2012 contained on Page 7 of 24 'Only clubs which fulfil the criteria set in the accredited Licensor's regulations by the relevant deadline and that have qualified on the basis of their sporting results may be granted a license by the Licensor to enter the confederation/national club competitions of the coming season. We hereby humbly request that you investigate our petition and ensure that Bloemfontein Celtic are not registered for the next South African Premier League season unless they pay our client his overdue payable in full," reads the letter from Johnny Precious Ogbah, head of sports law (Africa) at the Activity Chambers.
Tignyemb holds the club record for most appearances at Celtic having spent 11 years with the club from the City of Roses.
