Orlando Pirates legend and former Bafana Bafana star Thabo Mngomeni has expressed his shock at the news that his brother Thando Mngomeni, is missing.
Thando, who previously played for Bidvest Wits FC, has reportedly been missing since the middle of June. As of now, Thando's phone goes directly to voicemail.
Thabo has stated that he finds the entire situation puzzling.
"I only learned about this through a circulating post, so I'm still trying to get hold of my brother," Mngomeni tells KickOff.

"I found out just a day or two ago after someone sent me the information. I'm actively trying to locate him. We both live separate lives, as I have my own place."
According to Thabo, the comments made by Thando's girlfriend seem inconsistent.
"The only thing she is telling me is that Thando is safe. I asked her to have Thando call me so I can hear his voice. Right now, I'm left in the dark, and I'm not even sure if the police have been notified about his disappearance."

Thabo believes that his sister should have reported Thando missing to the police before making a public post about it.
"Maybe the three of them had a small argument and she is hoping he returns home. She and Thando are currently the only ones living together at our family home.
"As of now, I'm still waiting for Thando's girlfriend to call me back and let me know if I can speak to him on the phone."
