Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has refused to rule out the possibility of managing one of Europe's biggest teams.
The Frenchman, who has been without a job since stepping down from the Los Blancos helm at the end of the 2020/21 campaign, has been the subject of heavy speculation since the turn of the year.
Zidane is one of just seven coaches who won the European Cup/UCL both as a player and a manager:
In January, he was linked with the permanent manager role at Manchester United after Ralf Rangnick had accepted the position on an interim basis, but it emerged the 49-year-old was not interested in the job.
Various reports suggested that he would only consider being boss of either Paris Saint-Germain or the France national team next.
With Les Bleus braced for a second FIFA World Cup under Didier Deschamps, PSG were considered the likelier destination of the two, and these claims were further highlighted when the French outfit bowed out of the UEFA Champions League at the round of 16 stage in humiliating fashion in March.
Since then, Zidane has remained coy about his future, although it was claimed the Emir of Qatar was directly involved in the pursuit of the three-time UCL-winning coach – however, those rumours were dismissed by his advisor.
Nonetheless, when asked by L'Equipe in a recent interview if he would he ever consider taking the job at PSG, the manager refused to rule out the possibility, and seemingly suggested another club could be in his thinking too.
"Never say never," he responded.
"As a manager, there aren't 50 clubs where I can go. There are two or three possibilities."
He also made it clear, however, that one job he definitely wants at some point is the France national team role.
"I'm not done with Les Bleus," Zidane added.
"I hope to be a coach one day, I want to close the circle, I'm not done with France."
Despite those remarks from Zidane, though, the latest reports suggest that Les Parisiens are set to appoint Nice coach Christophe Galtier to replace Mauricio Pochettino.
