Zidane's ideal next club revealed?

World News

Amid reports linking him with Manchester United, former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane reportedly has one club he would ideally like to manage next.

It has been claimed that the French coach has snubbed the opportunity to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the United helm as he would prefer to take over at another club instead, according to BBC Sport.

The three-time UEFA Champions League-winning boss has been without a team since leaving Los Blancos in May, and is said to be taking a break before deciding on his next job.

While it has been a busy few months in terms of managerial incomings and outgoings, Zidane is yet to land a new role, with it being widely reported that he is holding out for the France national team job.

That position seems to be out of reach for the moment, though, as Didier Deschamps has not indicated any desire to step down, especially following Les Bleus' qualification for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar next year.

However, BBC Sport has now reported that while Zidane is not interested in the Red Devils job, he would be keen on taking charge of French giants Paris Saint-Germain if that position became available.

According to the Daily Mail, current PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is willing to leave Paris in order to manage the Old Trafford side as his family is still based in London.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Les Parisiens manager will accept an offer from United if one arrives, with his deal in France set to expire in June 2023 only, but if he does, that could open the door for Zidane to take the job at the Parc des Princes.
