Tuchel confirms another Chelsea departure

World News

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that, after Antonio Rudiger, another star is set to leave the club, with both players understood to be headed to Spain.

On Sunday, the Blues suffered another final defeat at the hands of Liverpool, who were crowned FA Cup champions after a penalty shootout.

However, the London outfit's woes look set to persist as another player departure has been confirmed by manager Tuchel, while there are reports claiming even more exits are likely in the upcoming transfer window.

Rudiger is reportedly set to join Real Madrid on a four-year deal when his contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season. It is believed everything is in order regarding the transfer, and the defender will officially be announced as a Los Blancos player when the season concludes, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Following Chelsea's defeat to the Reds at Wembley on Saturday, their head coach confirmed that defender Andreas Christensen will also be leaving the club at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

"We are losing Toni, we are losing Andreas, so this is tough," the 48-year-old said, per The Sun.

It is further claimed that the Dane, who is believed to be on his way to FC Barcelona on a five-year deal, requested to be left out of the squad for the final on Saturday, just hours before the kick-off against the Merseysiders.
