The latter will have a home-ground advantage after CAF announced that the match will be played at the Mohammed V Stadium in Morocco.
This was not received well by Ahly, who filed a complaint last week demanding that the match be played at a different venue as they believe the decision favours Casablanca and contradicts fair play standards, per KingFut.
However, their appeal was rebuffed by CAF, who argued that only Morocco and Senegal had made bids to host the final, with the latter later pulling out of the running to stage the event, leaving the former to do the honours.
Controversy aside, it is Pitso Mosimane's club that is the most successful team in the competition, having won the tournament a staggering 10 times, including back-to-back titles in the past two seasons.
Fellow Egyptians Zamalek have lifted the trophy five times, although the last time they won it was 20 years ago, in the 2001/02 season.
DR Congo giants TP Mazembe have also clinched Africa's biggest club showpiece five times, with two of their trophies coming on consecutive occasions in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 campaigns.
Clubs from Guinea, Cameroon and Tunisia are also among the famous tournament's most successful teams – check out the gallery up top to see them all!
